Free Electric Storage Heaters
FREE Electric Storage Heater Grants
We can replace your expensive electric heating with High Heat Retention Electric Storage Heaters that are fully programmable. The new heaters charge overnight using low-cost off-peak electricity.
To take advantage of the free electric storage heaters you must have existing electric heating and be in receipt of a qualifying benefit. Electric heating is insufficient and can be very expensive to heat your home.
This offer is available to Homeowners and Private Tenants.
If you use standard electric heaters or fan heaters to heat your property, then you should apply for this free grant.
High Heat Retention Electric Storage Heaters are designed to convert off-peak electricity into thermal energy, store it, and then release it continuously throughout the day.
Your electricity tariff must be Economy 7, cheap night time electricity to store heat and then release it to warm your home during the day time when electricity is more expensive.
Energy suppliers have introduced electricity tariffs such as Economy 7 which require a special meter to track day and night use of electricity, so that it can be charged at a different rate per kilowatt hour (kWh).
If you are not in receipt of benefits, we can still help through Local LA FLEX Scheme.
The LA Flex Scheme is designed to help those householders who are not in receipt of benefits but who are living on a low income and are vulnerable to the effects of living in a cold home. ... Local Authorities are now empowered to define their own eligibility criteria.
