Electric Storage Heating Grants
Free Electric Storage Heaters - If you use standard electric heaters or fan heaters to heat your property, then you should apply for this free grant.
We can replace your expensive electric heating with High Heat Retention Electric Storage Heaters that are fully programmable. The new heaters charge overnight using low-cost off-peak electricity.
To take advantage of the free electric storage heaters you must have existing electric heating and be in receipt of a qualifying benefit. Electric heating is insufficient and can be very expensive to heat your home.
High Heat Retention Electric Storage Heaters are designed to convert off-peak electricity into thermal energy, store it, and then release it continuously throughout the day.
Your electricity tariff must be Economy 7, cheap night time electricity to store heat and then release it to warm your home during the day time when electricity is more expensive.
Energy suppliers have introduced electricity tariffs such as Economy 7 which require a special meter to track day and night use of electricity, so that it can be charged at a different rate per kilowatt hour (kWh).
This offer is available to Homeowners and Private Tenants.
By checking your eligibility, you are under no obligation to progress with the installation.
Electric Storage Heaters are cheaper to run than other types of electrical heating that use electricity at peak times.
Many modern storage heaters have a built-in thermostat, allowing them to release heat when required.
High-heat retention storage heaters will reduce your carbon footprint compared to a gas boiler. This is due to investments in renewable energy.
Storage heaters help reduce your energy bills by up to 30% whilst giving you more control over when you heat your home and how warm it gets.
Unlike some other heating methods such as gas boilers, electric storage heaters are easy to maintain and don’t require much servicing.
Electric storage heaters don’t need a lot of complex equipment, they are easily installed by our fully qualified engineers.
